Dogstar
The buttermilk stallion trotted into the lands known as Thestral. His great head lifted high on his well muscled neck. This beast was the stallion known as Dogstar, and he wanted to have himself a herd land and a harem of lovely mares to help him continue his bloodlines and make the herd strong. He troted past all the oddly unfamiliar foliage that was growing about in this place. The only possible problem with this land was that the air was so thick and sticky, but other than that, this land looked like something DS could handle. He nosed at some of the foliage and smiled as the leaves folded up and the stems upon which they rested dropped down. The plant attempted to look dead. There was also some strange fruits. He nosed them, using his Earthen powers he determined they were not deadly.
He took one gently into his mouth and closed his teeth over it, squishing juices into his mouth, very tasty ones. He determined that they were Dates. Dogstar looked up into the sky at the water birds spiraling around above him and the lands he was choosing to claim as his own. Climbing past a few ferns and other ground dwelling plants he raised his head and forelegs off the ground in a show of his beauty upon a slight hill. Opening his mouth he sent a loud whinny into the lands, listened to it echo all around him. In that call, was his claimence, "I am Dogstar and Thestral is now mine!!" Coming down off of the slight hill he went exploring some more of the lands. But his ears and eyes were ever alert for approaches or challenges.

Argetlam walked with a carefree gait. And her posture deemed carefree, and very silly. But on the inside boiled many a thought about her past, which she was never going to reveal to anyone. Nobody at all. It was horrid, and shameful too. She twitched her nostrils and kicked into a steady, ground eating lope. She made good progress, for she crossed now into Earth lands. She felt at home. Going through fire, water and wind was alien grounds that she felt vulnerable on, even though solid Earth was solid Earth. Perhaps the felt that way because of the residents of different 'alliances' so to speak? For sure.
Soon, the earth warned her of another being, and she followed the sense, her pillars carrying her petite weight. She smiled as she saw a handsomely coloured stallion. She wanted to nickered in greeting, but she made sure nothing else was around, any predators or such, before she warned the stalion of her presence, though she knew he may have known himself before hand, as she did him. She nickered now, and walked cautiously towards him until she was about ten horselengths away from him.
Her lifted her nose up, and took in his scent. Yes, he was bonded to Earth. Plus the earth told her itself. But she did not like taking precaustions, as what her past could say about itself. She stopped, and waited for a response. Her stocky, short body still.

Dogstar halted his explorations as the Earth whispered of another on the lands of the Earth allies. His handsome buttermilk head swung in the direction of the intrusion onto his wanderings. He smiled as he caught sight of the little mare standing away from him. She smelled of Earth and he began to approach her gracefully in all his majesty. The sun flickered off his buttermilk body as he smiled to the mare.
His lips parted and his deep, soothing lyrics slipped from the catch he had on them. "Hello gracious lady. I am known as Dogstar. Might I have the pleasure of knowing what they call you?" He asked. He stood a bit bigger than she but still, she was an Earth, so was he, and all the Elementals looked out for their own. His ears were ever alert for any danger in his lands, at least he hoped they would be his, no one had claimed them until Dogstar had come and no one was here to argue with him over who deserved it more. He smiled at the little mare as he awaited a response.

Argetlam smiled in relief as the stallion didnt express any hostility towards her, as she knew from past experiences that although you may be of the same element, the others may not always be nice to you. She walked forward, as did he. Her eyes still held the wariness that didnt seem to ever leave. She stopped, and sniffed the air, reassuring herself he was Earth. Her kissers parted in her music;
I am pleased to meet you, Dogstar. I am called Argetlam.
Her words were soft, and barely audible. Her auds flicked forward, and she still stood tense. She looked at his appearance; he was finely coloured, soft buttermilk and his long wavy mane darkened at the ends. They did the same upon his face and legs. Her mouth twitched. He looked fine enough, but she was still wary, her past still crawling under her skin irritably, and fearfully.

Dogstar smiled as he watched the mare approach him. "Well my dear, Argetlam, welcome to Thestral." The stallion told her as he watched her take him in. She was a pretty little thing, a master of Earth such as he. "Do you need a home Argetlam?" He asked as he dropped his handsome face a little to find a beautiful flower, which he then offered to Argetlam. It was Dogstar's way of welcoming new members, be they stallion's or mares. He smiled as he waited for her responses.

Argetlam smiled with relief, and her shoulders sagged as she sighed once more in relief. Her voice was much more calmer, and her features relaxed and comfortable. The milky stallion seemed friendly enough. But still the back of her mind looked on in suspicion. He welcomed her to Thestral. She bowed her head in a sort of curtsy.
I thank you, Dogstar.
He bent to offer her a welcoming gift, and she nodded her head. A light smile betrayed her light hearted emotions. When he offered her a place to stay, she lifted her head, and flickered her eyes in thought. The earth beneath her rumbled in approval, so she looked back to Dogstar.
I accept your generous offer, Dogstar of Thestral.

She still didn't know wheter to trust him fully or not. He couldn't blame her, he was a pretty threatening looking stallion. He smiled as she dipped her head in a slight curtsy type look and bow. Dogstar smiled at the mare before him. She was pretty enough. A good addition to his herd. But where would he place one like her, what rank would she hold? He had time to work that out. For now she was just going to be a herd mare.
The buttermilk stallion smiled a little as he looked back into the heart of his lands and then, back to her. "Would you like to help me finish my exploration Argetlam?" He asked with a smile pivoting his bulk back toward the north from which he had approached Argetlam. Turning his regal head back her direction a winning smile graced his dark muzzle. Dogstar was in such a good way now. His herd was growing.
