Slasher galloped along the dangerous terrain. The smell of rotting corpses and death hovered in the thick, smog filled air. Boiling fountains of were sent soaring to the air from the hot springs. The ground was steaming where the water of death hit it. Almost no light reached the desolate land and the only source of light came from the glowing red rivers of lava. He was heading right toward one when he lept high in the air and sailed over it with grace and majesty. When he landed he let a loud snort emanate from his large nostrils. He stomped his foot and reared in the air as he let a stallions scream come from deep within his chest. His own fur stood up as he heard his own chilling call. Nobody would be dumb enough to come across this devilish beast of a stallion.
As the mighty stallion lowered from his rearing position he let his mighty voice ring out. "These lands now belong to me, and me only! If anyone is foolish enough to dare tread on these lands they will be taken captive or murdered ruthlessly. Head this as your warning!" With that the beast let out another snort and went to explore his new lands. As the devil dodged the boiling water and flowing lava he came across on of the only inactive volcanoes. The sides were not too steep to climb so he decided to take the path to the top. He took off at a steady pace along the winding path. His hooves dug into the unsteady terrain as he picked up pace. When he reached the top he looked down into the deep cavern.
Slasher decided that this was not the way in so he began to trek back down the other side and he spotted a horse-sized cavern that lead to the inside of the volcano. He walked inside and found a lush area on the inside. He would be disgusted if he lived here, but it was a great place to graze and get a drink or a fresh breath of air. A cool, fresh water river ran through it. Along the river beds were large grassy areas that were great for grazing. He took in a deep breath of the air, it was good to breath in air that wasn't laden with smog and smoke. Although he liked the smoke and scent of death, good clean air couldn't hurt every once in a while. He looked around and began to graze and drink as he thought about what his herd would be like. He waited for someone to try and challenge his claim or be lured into his death trap.
