We arrive in the forest and come across a pregnant mare. The subject trods through the dark and depressing forest, sharp pain piercing her sides. She drops to the ground and pushed out a filly. She cleaned the filly and then left quickly. The young filly was confuzed and alone. We have no idea why the subject has done this.
Two years pass and we come back to that same forest. The subject we were following has been devoured by cougars by now, but what has become of the younger? We search the forest before we come across a gruesome scene. Blood covers the forest floor and surrounds the young subject. We think the worst, but then we see movement. Soon we see what has happened, the subject has been forcebred. We can't bear to stay any longer, we leave the little one to the mercy of God.
We come back one year later and the scene is just as bad, but this time is no blood. The filly is now a mare, a yearling colt is at her side, but neither seem to be able to go on much longer. The colt is so thin he seems that he could die any moment. The mare isn't much beter, the stress of having a foal has made her even weaker, not to mention the fact that the foal has been sucking all the hydration from her body. The subjects are to die any moment. If the experiment is to work we must have the mare survive.
The subject cannot survive with her young one by her side. We take her away from him and leave him on his own. We have searched for a suitable place to locate her. We have found an area that will sustain her. We do more tests and give her more injections. The injections will take effect soon. We hope that she will survive. She needs to put on weight to survive the injections. She should have no trouble finding food here and will most likely survive. We will come to test the subject again in two years time.
