My bay form slipped past so many trees on my way to the Claiming Ground. Are there always so many trees when you want to be someplace quickly? I for one couldn't tell you, as I have never really thought on it. My daggers carried me in long, ground-eating strides as I galloped toward the heart of the Claiming Grounds. I was in search of a stallion to come find me and accept me as I was. I really did want to find a home, and start a family. I promised my mother I would.
And I was never one to break a promise I made...to anyone. Placing my daggers hard into the ground, I hauled my exstatic run into an abrupt stop. I laughed as I looked at the slide marks that I had made with my abrupt stop. I looked into the sky, my pale chestnut eyes filled with laughter. I manipulated the air currents, they danced around me as I called out, my voice ringing delicately out across the land before me. The air currents shifted, flipped , bent and stretched as I watched them. Yes, I liked my talents. They were fun. No I fell silent as I waited to hear another.

Storm found himself pacing whiin the heart of the claiming grounds, greatly disturbed that he had not found a single mare in hours. Normally the claiming fields were packed full, then again... It had been years since he was last here. Time passes fast when you are trying to keep your lands intact.
"A female approaches, thirty furlongs to the left... Listen to us, the wind that knows all..." the wind whispered in his right ear, brushing against his side before leaping off into the distance. With a great whoosh, the wind came back like a bull to billow and play with his long mane and tail. Turning to the left, the stallion eyed the forest, listening to the voices of the wind that played along there mare thundering towards him.
Realization dawned on him, the mare was of the Air element... This could only mean that she was more meant for his lands than she would think. In the land of earth or fire she would kick up suit and sand, while in the land of water she could easily destroy something by contorting the waves flow. Only the land of his was safest for any air being. "Wind, call to the mare, spread my words upon the soaring wings of your grace." he called, then continued. "Graceful being of air, I call upon thee to name yourself. Whether it be by wind or in person. I am Life before the Storm, Lead stallion of Veltra.

Laughing a little I slipped past the edge of the tree cover and came face to face with the one whom the air currents whispered about. I looked toward him with my pale chestnut orbs as I approached him. He was handsome, the air hadn't been lying, and when his words found my ears it was official, he was one of my own kind. "Graceful being of air, I call upon thee to name yourself. Whether it be by wind or in person. I am Life before the Storm, Lead stallion of Veltra. Approaching him sweetly I dipped my crown to him as a smile crept to my maw. "Ah good sir Life Before the Storm, I am know as Regin. But feel free to call me Reg. Lead stallion of Veltra are you? Please, tell me about it." I asked and waited my auds pointed toward him, maybe I had found a home afterall.

Jumping at the pounding of hooves and with a snort of durison I jumped back from Life Before the Storm and looked to the new stallion who had just arrived. Tossing my crown I snorted at him as he threatened the first stallion. "Why must you males always fight?" I asked as I gave a pointed glance at the Gypsy Vanner.

OOC:// Hun, wrong sense of to. Also, would you mind lengthening your posts? I am asking this of you because Amor does not want to put a minimum up. And Posts severely close to one liners kind of draws the line. If it is easier, please do try goals. Like, a paragraph. Explain your surroundings or where your stallion was standing. Just a bit of friendly advice.//
"They have a natural born talent to be stupid brutes."[/b] Storm replied before looking to the stallion that had threatened him. A gypsy vanner with no politeness to his mind at all. Especially while standing before a lady. "Rude stallion that dares... curse the peace with your violent ways, I dear say, I will leave. But not without this mare's permission. Rudeness grants you nothing but strict revolt. I doubt you will ever claim lands or a herd.[/b] was his response. Taking a heavy breath, he waited until the stallion returned to earth before glancing back at the mare with a star burst eye.
"Reign, I would like to know, would you like to defend your self in this case, or may I go straight ahead?"[/b] he asked, dipping his head slightly. In all honesty, he hated showy stallions, prancing around and thinking that they were all that. High strung and far from laid back in the order of things. There were times when he would step forward, but the mare was not his, so he had no right to decide her fate. That right was hers, even when she joined his herd, it was still hers. He was lead, but he was just a guide to help, a warrior to protect, a politician to govern, a police officer to enforce law, and by all a leader. Yet sometimes, even your own, has to learn to stand up and defend themselves.

I smiled at the response from the first stallion who'd come along to find me here. They have a natural born talent to be stupid brutes. Rude stallion that dares... curse the peace with your violent ways, I dear say, I will leave. But not without this mare's permission. Rudeness grants you nothing but strict revolt. I doubt you will ever claim lands or a herd. I gave a soft snort as I moved myself in between the pair, placing my bay bodice between two stallions. Not the smartest place a mare could stand.
I shot the Gypsy Vanner another pointed glance as I returned my attention to the first stallion, and answered his response. "I'd say they do. My father was terrible about fighting." Then I looked back to the Gypsy Vanner. "And you sir are rather rude in a mare's prescence..." I gave a soft laugh as I continued, "but you have been rather good at staying back a distance from us both." My ears tilted toward Life Before the Storm as he spoke again. Reign, I would like to know, would you like to defend your self in this case, or may I go straight ahead? I gave a soft smile as i looked to him. and answered. "In other circumstances, I would say defend me, but I shall try first." I gave him a slight dip of my head.
What a day this was turning into, first I'd figured out how to play with the air currents and then I was met by one stallion who was challenged by another, and it was over me. I shook my head a little as I turned my soft brown gaze to the Gypsy Vanner. Then I opened my mouth and spoke. "Though you have given a bad first impression stallion, you are rather decent. I am faced with a dilemma. I am not sure which of you to go with. I leave it to the two of you to discuss and if need be battle it out for my heart to join your herd." Then I gave them both a soft smile as i stepped away from the center of the two and waited, flicking my tail softly as I shifted the air currents and watched the boys before me.

Stallions, he hated them. But as the mare spoke he found his gaze transfixed upon her bodice, refusing to let go of her form. It was as if he was hanging on a limb, begging for her voice to rescue him. Surely it had, for he was standing upon solid ground. Even if he felt as light as the air its self. But as she gave the 'Go Ahead', he turned his gaze upon the stallion once more. A slight huff pushing from his chest.
"Autumn's Blossom and Winter's Lament, I dear say that you seem rather quiet dear Stallion. But her word is my order, and so shall I abide by it. Let me ask this of you though. Do you have lands to take her back to, or a heart to hold her dear. Can you map the air currents and teach her the art of the craft? She needs a teacher, but she also needs a home. Are you capable of providing such things?" he asked. His words were simple, calm and collected. Nothing to hard to answer really.
But at the end of his words he dipped his head in a short, semi-bow. His muscles were lax, yet a light tention raced beneath the surface. Waiting to plow forth if need be. It would be a tough fight, he was built more for speed and flexibility, not brute force. The Vanner was thick with bulk, yet narrow... If did come down to a fight, he would have to rely on air.
But hopefully it wouldn't, and he could whisk her away to his lands to rest and learn what it was to be an air being.
OOC://Sorry its so short, its my bed time and my dad is starting to get suspicious//

I settled my bay bodice a short distance away from the stags and my eyes moved from one to the other of them. I sized up the males and determined what would happen if they did fight. Life Before the Storm's words echoed in my listening ears. Are you capable of providing such things?"
I gave a half smirk as I dipped my lovely head low. Not only was Storm decent, he had a quick wit, and with his help, my talents with the Air would get better and I would be able to say I was home with one of the stallions whether it be Storm or the other one. I flicked my black banner again as I looked up to the Gypsy Vanner with a soft smile. "Just pretend I'm not here." I said to them both as I waited for what would come from either of the two again. I was having fun with refusing these two. I wasn't always so difficult, but at the moment, it was rather fun.
