So you think you know how this goes yeah? been travelling for miles, seen many places, learnt plenty of things. Think you're the smart one in this big old game of cat and mouse we call life do you? well i'm sorry, we can't all live fantasies. no, change is in the air, the heavens are opening to reveal a new path for you to take. The spirits are coming alive again. Awakening from their endless slumber. The spell laid upon them from the day the first equine settlers arrived has been broken. Those both good and bad are discovering powers they never knew existed before the turning of the earth. The elements are choosing their masters. Perhaps now those who reside here will want to learn the history of the land. Rather than just tales, twisted and changed throughout time. It's not much, but this is the best recollection you will get..

Glancing once more into the sky, my nose caught the distant evil smell of a storm and my red roand ears tilted back as I watched the grey mare trot away. The water hung about her bodice as she moved away from me. This was a sight to see. Pivoting on my hind legs I turned to gallop after her. I didn't want to be caught in the storm. The water was already dotting my coat, and I didn't like it. As Amoria searched for a shelter, I gave her my aid. Trying to find a place that we could stay relatively dry in. The rain picked up and I searched harder, deeper into the encroaching blackness of the storm clouds.

tucking my head in close to my body, arching my neck with a sense of almost grace. My legs moved slowly and lightly, pushing me across the terrain with quick fluidity. I knew my extended trot would make it harder for the little mare to keep up without breaking into a canter, but i just wanted to test her, to know her worth. I kept a keen eye on her, watching her every movement. For me, this wasn't so much a frantic search for shelter, no, definately not, for me, this was an analysis. One of my own little games, something that made me happy in that nasty way. But i kept my expression light, faint hints of a smile turning up the corner of my mouth to form a crooked, cheeky grin. This would be fun. I would test her leadership skills next. What fun.. Yes, this could be very interesting.. i chuckled softly, but still didn't turn to face her, keeping my eye glued to her with curiosity. So, where to sister?
ooc | ick ick ick. Sorry, no muse. LAME, worst post i've ever done.. Not much to work with here, sorry. =(

Shaking my head as I followed in the dappled mare's hoofprints I could tell what she was up to, she was testing me, sizing me up, determining if i was worthy. Well, I would give her no reason to think I was a weakling, after all, I did have an excellent stamina, thank you dear mother for that. I stretched out my neck and lengthened my stride. I closed the distance between us easily and was hardly out of breath.
'Where to sister?' She says, where to? where to? I laughed a little. "Anywhere's better than lingering out here in the rain." I said as I shook the water droplets off my coat as I looked at the dappled grey mare. I could really use the exercise, keep up my physique. I lengthened my strides once more, slipped passed Amoria and looked back at her. "Can you keep up?!" I teased her a little as I turned back into the rain and kept my strides even with each breath I took.

It was times like these that i forgot about all the recent events, about all my problems, about who i'd become. Just letting myself run free, without a care in the world. my eyes had slipped shut, and i was running in complete darkness, but in that darkness was a light so bright it was near blinding. Peace, that's all this was. Finally, after so many darkened days and nights i felt at home. I was content to just listen to the sound of my hooves softly breaking the surface of the ground before sliding into the air again, it was comforting to hear that gentle whoosh of the air as they cut through it. It was a different sound than i was used to. Gliding, graceful almost. This is what i had felt like before Aurelia, before everything had gone wong. Before Krieger.
My stride faultered slightly as i thought his name and my eyes snapped open again. i could feel Cole at my side, the heat from her body gently brushing past me as she took the lead. Flashing me a quick, cheeky glance as she passed, 'can you keep up?'. In that moment the sense of ease and serenity vanished. I snarled darkly at her, my soft, even gate gearing up to that wreckless, thunderous bolt that churned the ground and left my ankles swollen and sore. The sound of my hooves pounding the ground was deafening, each stride was uneaven, i was in danger of breaking my legs if i were to stumble. That's it, you are the fastest. Yes. Yes i was, i had been at Aurelia, it had forever been my greatest talent. Back then i had raced for the fun of it. But after those terrible days i spent running for dear life, i had vowed always to be the fastest. Because it was who i had let myself become, i had let myself be forced into cowardice. And running was often my only option.
I must have looked completely insane. But aren't we all a little crazy? I was simply just very good at it. Do it, do it now. Catch the wench. I growled, Cole was still atleast two lengths ahead of me, and the most recently scabbed over grazes on my knees were starting to seep blood, straining from the pressure. You will not lose. They will find you if you stop running. I stumbled and, hurtling forward towards the ground, roared in deffiance. The rain that had previously been avoiding my body flew anxiously towards me, and for a moment, it felt that my body might implode. Soul of the earth is the ocean, gift of this life are her waves, i surrender myself to her motion, in calm beauty, and in rage.. The scream that followed should have been enough to shatter glass, and it took me a moment to realise that it was coming from my own lungs, but the sensation i felt when the water pushed me forwards back into that headlong gallop was like nothing i had ever experienced before. The mix of rage and the adrenaline that was churning in my stomach was enough to form a fiery, boiling concoction in my body. I hadn't really experimented with these powers too much, but already, they had saved my life. I hurtled past cole, hissing as i passed. We will never stop. You will never catch us.You will never catch us.
It wasn't until i noticed the thick streaks of blood staining my legs that i slowed from my wrecklass bolt. My breath came in short rasps, my head swimming and my heart pounding in my head. My coat was sticky with sweat, my mouth foaming at the edges. it felt for a moment that i would faint as i stood there with my legs shaking violently. An anguished whimper slipped through my lips. Triumph. Victory.. I turned slowly, unsure what Cole's reaction would be. I am sorry. Sometimes i have a problem with my temper, Cole..
ooc | twilight quote there. it just seemed to fit. haha =). 680 words. sorry for the wait.

OOC-I Noticed. bic-
As I slipped past her I gave a soft smile as I drew a few lengths ahead of the mare. I gave a soft buck of triumph as I increased the distance between us. I laughed a little as the rain slipped past my face and along my sides. I hadn't had a good run in the longest time. This was perfect. Glancing back at the dappled mare I saw a crazed look on her face and my stride faltered a little as I stumbled over a small root that I would have slipped over had I been able to keep my pace going. Letting myself slip to a stop I danced around to look at her.
Then she stumbled and the scream that came from her...it was horrifying. I threw my head into the air and danced back a few paces as she charged past me. Her words, her challenge slipped into my auds. We will never stop. You will never catch us. I looked after her...she was crazy. We will never stop? You will never catch us? What was this? What did she mean. As she widened a sharp distance between us I picked up a slow trot and followed her. A fair distance away and when she stopped I halted a good few feet from her. Looked her over. She looked okay now.
Taking a few steps closer to her I looked at her and shook my crown a little as I saw the blood on her legs. "We never should have done that. You made yourself bleed." I said as I looked to her. She'd bled because of me, because of my challenge. I shook my head again as rain water slid down my mane and onto my neck. My auds came foreward at her next words, I am sorry. Sometimes i have a problem with my temper, Cole.. I'd say she did. I smiled a little as I looked at her again. "Remind me to never challenge you to a race again." I said with a soft smile as I looked at the dappled mare.

OOC-Okies Amoria. bic- My burly dusty, black form slipped past the trees. I was a mixed breed stallion, by the name of Valthonis. I had claimed Amethyst as my home and in this unclaimed land the Water Spirits had told me there were a pair of mares here. One of my alliance and one they couldn't read, a non-elemental no doubt. But hey, I didn't mind. I trotted casually through the trees to where the scents originated from. They came into my sight and they were both beautiful. I gave them a soft whinny as I moved a bit closer to them. "Greetings ladies. I am Valthonis, 'The Exile' and Lead of Amethyst. Might I know your names?" I asked as I came to a stop.
Then I settled in a bit more comfortably as I tilted my ears in the mares' direction. The one of my alliance was bleeding and the other was looking at her with a half smile on her face. What had gone on between these two that one was injured and the other not? The uninjured one looked to be built for stamina and beauty, her tail arced in a very specific way. I smiled, the roan was of Arabian descent. The injured mare, I couldn't quite tell her breed, but she was just as gorgeous as the other mare. I would like having them in my herd, or at least one of them. Then I gave a shake of my muscled neck and let my waved mane settle into it's proper position along the left of my neck.
If the mares looked close at me they could probably determine my breed. I was sixteen hands high, had a dark black, wavy mane and tail, and the black body of a fresian, but without the feathering on my legs which were formed like a thoroughbred's. Indeed if the two looked close enough they would see I was a fresian thoroughbred cross. I had a lovely temperment too. I smiled at the mares again as I waited for one or the other to speak as to what their name might be. I flicked my tail gently against my flank and watched them both. Lovely additions they would make...if my charm would work on them.
Following are the rules of Datholon. Please read them, it will only take up 10 minutes of your precious life. If your not going to read at least some of them then dont blame us when you get things wrong.
General ;;
i'm the admin, i'm the special one, i get the first, middle and last say about things around here.
you may have a maximum of 4 characters.
you may advertise your site ONLY in the advertising board.
all members are to obey the staff and leaders or i will personally eat you.
Mares ;;
if you are claimed by a stallion you may go with them or you may choose to fight them.
mares may not rebel against their lead. if they do so the lead may choose to banish them from that particular herd.
mares MUST be three years old in order to have a foal.
you can try to fight a stallion for freedom. but i guarantee, you'll lose.
Mares can live in any land relivant to their alliance as long as the land is unclaimed or the herd leader accepts you.
If a stallion comes to claim the unclaimed land you are living in you will either be asked to leave or you can ask to stay.
Stallions ;;
stallions may force breed but please don't go overboard and rape every single mare that walks by you.
in order to maintain your terra you must be active. if you are gone for over a month your terra will be identified as unclaimed and you will have to reclaim it again if you wish to remain the lead of your terra.
you may fight other stallions for mares, lands ect.
You may claim as many mares as you want, the stallion with the most mares will be the best stallion.
Breeding ;;
Graphic breeding is not allowed. it is against the proboards terms of service. If you wish to breed graphic then use pm's. Just do a sort of, fade in, fade out thing.
Admins and staff are the only members who may decide the status of your foal. when it is born you have no say in whether it is male or female, black or white.
you must post at least three times before your foal can be born.
Posting ;;
i have no set length minimum for your posts, but if i see stupid posts with only one word on it then a rule will be put up. once again guys, dont abuse the privelage.
charries ;;
okay, beofre you go makin heaps of charries, the same rules apply as anywhere else. 4 charries per account.
When you join first you must read these rules then go to the status board. There you will create a thread in your charries' name. This is where you will post the name, age, colour. breed ect ect of your horse. You may include as many pics as you want no matter how big they are (as long as they dont stuff up the boards that is.) If you are the herd leader you may also include the status of your herd if you want.
Challenging ;;
• There will be four posts for each person:
1 Starting post, stating you are ready to fight.
3 Battling posts (The first person to state the starting post will attack first).
• There must be at least two judges. The administrators could be the judge, or the leaders of the herd (this happens only when mares are fighting - not when the lead stallion is fighting). They will have a conference with each other over PMs to decide who won.
• The winner will be decided by whoever has the best posts. That includes:
- Long detailed posts
- Few errors in spelling/grammar/etc.
- Creativity
• When the opponent tries to hit you (say if you were in a fight), then you must at least get hit once out of all attacks in the battle post. It is not logical to miss ALL attacks.
• When posting attack posts, please limit your number of "attempted" attacks to around four attacks.
• If a person posted in the 'Away' area, they you CAN NOT win by default until they are said to have been back.
You can, however, win by default if the person should be back and does not reply to your battle request in a period of. Message me or Avi and we will declare if you win by default or you have to wait a bit longer. If the person comes back, then the battle is still on.
-Fighting Rules Made By:
--C.reative
Elements ;;
Elements are as follows - fire [hentra], earth [ehcriale], water [adurna] and wind [Ularnne].
If you dont want your charrie to have an element then he/she doesnt have to, you may live on the island made specifically for normal horses.
When you create your bio you must include what element you are of. [or if you dont want to have an element at all]
Elements do not mean that you can turn into fire, but you can get very hot. Say you were of the wind element, you can hear what the spirits of the wind say, they can guide you, punnish you, aid or hurt you. The spirits may possess you at times to do their bidding.
The element represents your mood at times. You choose how.
You may only be of one element at a time. Pm me about changing.
other ;;
If You are dark, you can not eat other creatures, after all, you are still a horse.
before putting a raid or plot into action you must inform me of it.
Punishments;;
First offence - Warning,
second offence - One week ban,
third offence - longer ban or account deleted.
that just about sums it all up but dont forget, i'll be watching
If you have completely read the rules then the password you need to include in your enrollment form is; never say never
